Rebooting our running journey

We did the family run over the Harbour Bridge back in 2013 - we ran and my aunt kindly walked with Sean in the stroller. This was approximately two years ago! Shift forward two years and we've definitely piled some of the weight back on just through general everyday life.

Shift forward two years and we’ve definitely piled some of the weight back on just through general everyday life.

However, Adam had surgery on his intestines last year that required him to wear a vacuum pump for several months to close his wounds and I had our second child, so sporting some great baby weight right now. So we’re back to square one.

So this weekend, we’ll be rebooting our running and fitness journey by starting the “learn to run” program, being run by the lovely Rachel of Rachel’s Runners!

If you’re in Sydney and curious about running, why not join us early on Saturday morning and get your body moving in a completely supportive environment, surrounded by people just like you. We’re a mix of newbies right through to ladies who run marathons but everyone is welcome and started out the same at some point in their journey. The whole family is welcome, there are a number of husbands and partners like Adam who run as well as kids and younger ones in prams.

Check out Rachel’s Runners on Facebook. Twitter and Instagram for more details and to get a glimpse into just what makes this community tick.
